Beta Relay Station Module. The development of short-range and wide-range detectors became possible thanks to specimen No. 137-VA—a standard digger WRD that had been exposed to an unknown anomalous effect. Study of the specimen revealed that the range of signals detected by the device had expanded significantly and began picking up fluctuations caused by anomalous activity. The standard configuration, whose operating principles were copied from specimen No. 137-VA, remains to this day the only known way to detect anomalous signals.
