Researchers believe that Snake Eye might be a representative of terrestrial coral polyps, but if this theory is correct, the question of how the polyp ended up so far from the nearest saltwater body remains unresolved. The solid formation, which at first glance resembles a stone, feels more like the surface of a seashell. Structural analysis shows a high calcium content in its composition.
